Lopez-Reynoso: triumph in concert with OFil (Saariaho, Elgar, Dvorak), April 2023

After the break, the OFIL picked up the baton from the cellist and, together with the baton of its main guest conductor, Iván López-Reynoso, demonstrated its growth throughout the four numbers that comprise the "Symphony number 7 in D minor" by Dvorák. Compact, with a resounding and well-timbred sound, the Oviedo Filarmonía demonstrated the power of a homogeneous string with brilliant and dramatic brass...

The public rewarded the exquisite evening with loud applause and a splendid ovation crowned by shouts of "Bravo!" the orchestra and its conductor.

(Original in Spanish) Tras la pausa, la OFIL recogió el testigo del violonchelista y, junto a la batuta de su director principal invitado, Iván López Reynoso, demostró su crecimiento a lo largo de los cuatro números de que consta la "Sinfonía número 7 en re menor" de Dvorák. Compactos, con un sonido rotundo y bien timbrado, la Oviedo Filarmonía evidenció el poderío de una cuerda homogénea con unos metales brillantes y, dramáticos... 

El público premió la exquisita velada mediante sonoros aplausos y una espléndida ovación coronada por gritos de "¡Bravo!" a la orquesta y su director.
